The EV Guard Charging Cable Security Clamp is designed to deter theives from stealing charging cables during use. This product start-up is being campaigned through Iindiegogo and pre-orders can be placed. Once the pledged amount is met, production will start with esitmated shipping being in December 2024.

The wheel clamp allows for a slot where the charging cable can be passed through and then locked together around the wheel like a traditional wheel clamp. The cable cannot be removed without damaging the cable or removing the clamp.
The product design is still changing and will be different for the launched product. One area is ensuring the materials used are resistance to attack from angle grinders and a high security lock is used to prevent lockpicking.
Once the design is formalised, suppliers will be contacted for costs and pre-production units purchased.

This product will help eliminate thefts of electric cables and secure the cable against wind or knocking.
